MEET STUART MACE
Welcome to Mace Manufacturing. I’m Stuart Mace, a Mechanical Engineer by trade, with a journey rooted in the exciting world of automotive design and manufacturing.
Attending UNC Charlotte and receiving my Mechanical Engineering degree with a concentration in motorsports was hardly the beginning. Upon graduation, I immediately accepted a position as an aerodynamics design engineer for a NASCAR cup team and began honing my skills in component design and rapid prototyping. These skills complimented my responsibility to develop innovative machining methods when I joined an aerospace company in 2017.
In 2023, I took a leap of faith and founded Mace Manufacturing. My tinkering on nights and weekends began with 3D printers and CNC routers. This eventually evolved into acquiring a CNC plasma table to design and fabricate a replacement floor for my 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser. As most of you know, as we get older, our tools just get bigger and more expensive. In February of 2023, I decided to sell my dream car, which was a 1993 Nissan Skyline GTR, to purchase a HAAS VF2 and challenge myself to develop unique and innovative automotive machined accessories.
Built Locally
We don’t aim to mass-produce outsourced products. Everything is made in-house in Fort Mill, South Carolina, undergoing rigorous quality inspection and fit tests.
